Whats the difference between hot and warm wax?The difference with the two waxes is the method in which it is applied and removed. Warm wax is applied thinly to the skin with a spatula, a strip is then applied and removed with a swift pull which removes the hair, this type of waxing is best for legs, arms and for males backs!
The hot wax is a much thicker consistency which is applied in a circular motion onto the skin to surround the hairs, it then drys and is flicked off without a strip, much better for delicate areas ie. The hollywood or brazillian as it doesnt pull the skin and grabs the hairs from the roots meaning less irritation and ingrown hairs!
Why does my skin change from season to season?Everyones skin is prone to change at the start of a new season due to weather, climate and internal elements such as central heating and air conditioning, through the spring/summer we have the benefits of less harsh conditions and vitamin D which make hair and nails grow and make skin look healthy and glowing but when the autumn/winter arrive things start to change, the skin can become dry which in turn will mean changing your homecare products ie using a richer more nourishing day cream, increased use of masks and serums and more regular skin care treatments.
We would recommend a facial every 6 to 8 weeks and a good homecare routine to banish tired, dull looking skin throughout the cold months.
